After graduating from UCLA in 2001 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics and Political Science, Alisa Esala joined Offner & Anderson, P.C. as a legal assistant supporting the firm. In this position, she grew into the role of trademark and corporate paralegal and eventually, Office Manager.
In 2005, she joined Dan Offner at Nixon Peabody, LLP, where she was a legal assistant supporting 3 to 4 attorneys including Dan in his role as Practice Group Leader. Loeb & Loeb, LLP recruited Alisa in 2010 to continue working with Dan to build the firm’s Interactive Entertainment Group. While at Loeb, Alisa supported 3 Partners and an Associate in the firm’s prestigious Entertainment Department. When Dan branched out in 2012 to start his own companies: Blue Heron Ventures, Inc., Flying Kame, Inc. and O&A, P.C., Dan asked Alisa to join him as VP, Operations running the day-to-day business operations of his 3 businesses.
Today, Alisa continues in her role of VP, Operations, while also providing integral paralegal services and contracts administration assistance to the firm’s clients. As a contracts administrator, Alisa can manage the day-to-day work flow for any client including digital archiving, digital filing, contracts administration and execution, corporate record keeping and maintenance and due diligence processing. Under this role, Alisa provided assistance to Oculus VR, Inc. from their time as a Kickstarter company through 3 rounds of financing, $20M in revenue and eventually a $2B sale and merger into Facebook, Inc.
